Question service

Send us your material. We build the questions.

A PDF of past papers, a folder of worksheets, a photographed workbook — we turn it into properly tagged Savad questions with answer keys, worked explanations and rubrics, loaded into your account ready to assign. Typing 500 of them in yourself is more than 40 hours.

Which exam is this for?

The rate follows the exam. IELTS costs more to build — speaking rubrics and paired passages take longer to do properly.

How many questions?

We estimate from your page count. Change it to whatever you actually want built — the number you set is the number you pay for.

A full term for one class is around 500 questions.
The guarantee

If we can’t read it, you don’t pay.

You are sending us photographs of workbooks and scans of past papers. Sometimes a page is cut off, a scan is too blurred to read, or an answer key simply isn’t there. When that happens we stop — we do not guess, and we do not bill you for questions we could not build properly.

  • A person checks every file first. Before any work starts, someone opens what you sent and confirms it can be turned into properly tagged questions.
  • If it can’t be read, we refund you in full — to the card you paid with, within five working days. We tell you exactly which files were the problem and why, so you can re-send better copies if you want to.
  • Part of a batch unreadable? We build the rest and refund the difference. You are only ever charged for questions that were actually built.
  • Not right when it lands? Tell us within 14 days and we rebuild it, or refund it. We would rather fix it than keep your money.
How it works

Four steps, and one of them is yours

You send the material and approve the sample. We do the rest.

Step 1

You send it

Upload above, or email it to us after your call. Past papers, worksheets, a photographed workbook, a spreadsheet you already keep — whatever you actually teach from.

Step 2

We check it

A person opens every file and confirms it is readable and has what a question needs. If it is not, we stop here and refund you — before any work happens.

Step 3

You approve a sample

We build the first 10 free, in your exam’s format, and send them for you to look at. If the tagging or the explanations are not how you want them, say so now and we adjust.

Step 4

It lands in your account

Tagged, keyed and ready to assign — no import step, no spreadsheet. They behave exactly like the questions that ship with Savad.

What you get

What a built question includes

  • The question itself, typed and formatted — passages, tables, diagrams and images included, not flattened into a screenshot.
  • A verified answer key. Where your material has one we check it; where it doesn’t, we work it and mark it for your review rather than guessing.
  • A worked explanation your students see after they answer — the reason this shows up in weak-topic maps at all.
  • Topic, sub-topic and difficulty tags in your exam’s own taxonomy, so analytics and predictive scoring can actually use it.
  • A marking rubric for anything written or spoken, so AI grading scores it the way an examiner would.

No bundle tiers and no minimum order. Ten questions and ten thousand cost the same per question, so you never have to over-order to reach a better price. IELTS carries the higher rate because speaking rubrics and paired reading passages take materially longer to build properly.

Charged once, per order. This is separate from your Savad subscription — nothing here changes what your plan costs each month. See what each plan includes.

Questions

Before you send anything

What if you can’t read what I send?+
Then we don’t build it and you don’t pay. A person opens every file before any work starts. If a scan is too blurred, a page is cut off, an answer key is missing, or the material isn’t something we can turn into properly tagged questions, we stop and tell you exactly which files were the problem — and refund you in full, to your original payment method, within five working days. If only part of a batch is unreadable we build the rest and refund the difference, so you are only ever charged for questions that actually got built. We never guess at an answer key.
Why is IELTS more expensive?+
Because it takes longer to build properly. An IELTS speaking or writing task needs a full band-descriptor rubric attached to it before AI grading can score it the way an examiner would, and IELTS reading uses paired passages that have to be typed, formatted and linked to their question sets rather than entered one question at a time. SAT, TOEFL, CSCA and AP questions are more self-contained. $0.15 against $0.10 is the honest difference in work, not a premium for the brand.
How accurate is the estimate above?+
The page count is read from your actual files. The question count is an estimate from it — we assume roughly eight questions a page, which holds up well for past papers and worksheets and less well for dense workbooks or answer-key pages. Change the number to whatever you actually want built; that is the number you pay for. We confirm the real count from your material before charging anything, and if our count comes out lower than yours, we charge the lower one rather than building filler.
What formats can I send?+
PDFs, photographs, scans, screenshots, Word files and spreadsheets. Phone photos of a workbook are fine as long as the page is fully in frame and the text is in focus — that is genuinely the most common thing people send. If you already keep questions in a spreadsheet, send that instead and it is faster for everyone. If you are unsure whether something will work, send one page first: the first 10 questions are free, so a test costs you nothing.
How long does it take?+
Around 3 working days for up to 200 questions, 5 for up to 600, and 7 to 10 for larger batches — counted from when you approve the free sample, not from when you send the files. If you have a term starting and need it faster, say so and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit your date before you pay.
Do I need to be on a Savad plan to order?+
You need somewhere for the questions to land, so yes — they are built into a Savad account. If you are still evaluating, book a demo first and we will set the account up on your own exam material during it; you can order questions from day one of your trial. The question service is billed separately either way: it is a one-off charge per order and it does not change what your plan costs each month.
Who owns the questions you build?+
You do. Questions built from your material belong to you, stay in your account, export as CSV whenever you want, and are never resold to another tutor or centre or used to train models sold to anyone else. If you leave Savad you take them with you.
Can you handle an exam that isn’t on your list?+
Usually. National exams, university entrance papers and school internals are all things we have built. Send us a sample and we will quote it — the rate depends on how much format and rubric work the exam needs before the first question can be built. Once it exists in Savad it behaves like any other track in your account.
Is the material I send used for anything else?+
No. What you send is used to build your questions and nothing else. It is not added to the shared banks other tutors see, not resold, and not used to train models sold to anyone. A DPA is available for centres and schools that need one on file. The privacy page has the detail.
